  5. Cynthia Ricciotti Joins Discmania Tour Team

    After four years with Dynamic Discs, including a 2018 Junior Worlds title, Cynthia Ricciotti is joining the Discmania Tour Team for 2022.

    “I couldn’t be more excited to announce that I’ll be representing Discmania for the 2022 season! This partnership is something that I feel fits me very well, and I’m beyond eager for the season to start,” said Ricciotti. “As I reflect on the last four years with Dynamic Discs, I think of all the moments that shaped who I am as a disc golfer. But as I continue my journey and my career, it’s important to explore new avenues and better opportunities.”

  14. Latitude 64 Signs Linus Carlsson; Re-Signs Lauri Lehtinen, Rebecca Cox, Connor O’Reilly

    Swedish manufacturer Latitude 64 made a flurry of signings over the past two weeks to bolster their 2022 team.

    The highest-ranked Swedish player and second-highest ranked European pro Linus Carlsson (1035) is the biggest signing of the bunch. Carlsson, who was previously sponsored by Innova, dominated in Sweden this season, including a win at the national championships, and finished second at the European Championships behind Niklas Anttila.

    “Joining Latitude 64 means that I can focus on disc golf full time for the first time in my life, and to play with discs from a Swedish brand and represent both them and my country on the US tour feels great,” said Carlsson in a statement. (more…)

    Tickets are available now for the first four stops on the 2022 Disc Golf Pro Tour.

    You can find Las Vegas Challenge tickets on Disc Golf Scene; Waco Annual Charity Open, Texas States, and Jonesboro tickets are available on Eventbrite. Tickets for the Dynamic Discs Open are on sale on the tournament’s own Eventbrite. Tickets start at $10 for a day pass and go up to $100 for a VIP all-access pass. (more…)

    The trailer for FIERCE, the disc golf documentary following Paige Pierce’s quest for a sixth world championship, is available now:

    Pierce said on Instagram that the movie is “nearing the finish line” — it’s currently getting final narration recorded. The project raised over $80,000 on Indiegogo.

    Coming off of his best season as a pro, Casey White has re-signed a two-year contract extension with Discmania.

    “I am happy to announce that I have extended my contract with Discmania through 2023!” White said on Instagram. “I had my best season so far in 2021, and Discmania also made some big moves last year! Time to keep that momentum moving forward, proud to wear the shield on my chest.” (more…)

  27. Gannon Buhr Re-Ups with Prodigy for Two Years

    2021 PDGA and DGPT Rookie of the Year Gannon Buhr has agreed to a new two-year endorsement contract with Prodigy Disc.

    “Prodigy has always been my favorite brand,” Buhr said in a video posted to his Instagram. “Will Schusterick has always been my favorite player. And that kind of naturally drew me towards wanting to be on Team Prodigy. Being with Team Prodigy for another two years is super exciting for me.”

    2021 PDGA Rookie of the Year Ella Hansen has agreed to a two-year contract extension with her manufacturing sponsor Discmania, keeping her with the company through 2023.

    “Being a full-time professional athlete has been a dream of mine since I was a kid, and I’m so grateful to Discmania for helping that dream come true,” she wrote on Instagram. (more…)

  29. Chris Dickerson Leaves Prodigy Deal Two Years Early

    Chris Dickerson announced on Instagram that he is leaving his endorsement deal with Prodigy early after signing a three year extension in the summer of 2020.

    “I want to say thank you to Prodigy for being the first company to offer me a sponsorship 6 years ago,” he wrote. “I wish the company and everyone there nothing but the best moving forward!” (more…)
