Ezra Aderhold Signs 2-Year Discraft Deal To Join Elite Team
Ezra Aderhold at the 2020 Disc Golf Pro Tour Championship. Photo: Alyssa Van Lanen – DGPT One of the biggest free agents this offseason has signed his first disc manufacturer sponsorship. Ezra Aderhold agreed to a 2-year deal to join the Discraft Elite Team through 2022.
“I think Discraft is the most exciting company with the highest ceiling,” said Aderhold, who was pursued for sponsorship by multiple manufacturers. “I also love their discs. Since I think they’re the best company, I felt like I had to choose them.”

Nate Perkins Renews Discmania Contract

“It’s been special to witness the fan base grow over the years and there’s no question to me that this company will be one of the pillars for our sport moving forward,” said Perkins. “Connecting with the individuals of this company has been one of the primary reasons the relationship has thrived the way that it has.”

Severi Saviniemi Signs 2-Year Deal With Prodigy
Severi Saviniemi at the Prodigy Disc Pro Tour – Turku. Photo: David Sarmas One of Europe’s breakout stars of 2020, Finnish phenom Severi Saviniemi, has picked up his first disc manufacturer sponsor, signing with Prodigy Disc for two years as part of its Tournament Team.
Saviniemi finished second at two Prodigy Disc Pro Tour events — Helsinki and Turku — and was third in overall points in the series at the end of the four event season. His player rating climbed 22 points to a career-high 1013 in 2020.
He will continue to be sponsored by retail store Powergrip as well.

Matt Bell Signs 3-Year DGA Extension
Matt Bell. Photo: PDGA Former world putting champion and 1x PDGA National Tour winner Matt Bell will stay with sponsor DGA through 2023 after signing a 3-year extension with the company.
Bell joined DGA in 2019 and is known for his Circle 2 putting prowess. He had a top 10 finish at the 2020 Idlewild Open and won the Hollow Falls Classic A-tier in New Hampshire this past fall.
He hit a career high player rating of 1028 in August 2020 and is currently rated 1018.

Two More Years At Discmania For Dustin Keegan
Dustin Keegan After initially making the move for the 2020 season, Dustin Keegan will spend 2021 and 2022 under the Discmania shield after signing a new 2-year deal.
“With my passion to grow the sport via course design and development plus my drive to still compete at the highest level, Discmania and DiscGolfPark are the perfect places for me to excel at what I love to do,” said Keegan.
Keegan spent two years with Dynamic Discs before the Discmania move last year. He played 12 events in 2020 and his best finish was 16th at the Green Mountain Championship. Keegan is currently rated 1014.

Paige Shue Extends Dynamic Discs Deal
Paige Shue at the 2020 DGPT Championship. Photo: Alyssa Van Lanen – DGPT Paige Shue will continue her professional relationship with Dynamic Discs for another season, extending her contract with the company through 2021.
Shue relocated from Emporia, Kansas to the Charlotte, NC area during 2020 and took some time away from the main tour to head to Alaska for an event. She had two top five DGPT finishes in six Elite Series events, and added a fourth place effort in her season opener in Las Vegas.
The 2018 PDGA Pro World Champion is currently rated 934.

Noah Meintsma Joins Growing DGA Team
Noah Meintsma at the 2020 DGPT Championship. Photo: Alyssa Van Lanen – DGPT Minnesota’s Noah Meintsma has signed a 2-year deal to join DGA through the 2021 season. He will be tied with Matt Bell as the highest-rated player on the roster.
“I’m super excited…all the molds feel amazing and I’m more ready than ever to get back to the full tour,” said Meintsma.
Meintsma had a top five showing at the Dynamic Discs Open this past season to go along with a couple of runner-up finishes at A-tier events. He’s been touring full-time since the 2018 season and is coming off a sponsorship with Innova.

Nikko Locastro Extends Westside Contract Two Years

Photo: Alyssa Van Lanen – DGPT Nikko Locastro, who has had one of the more curious sponsorship histories in the sport, has signed an early 2-year extension to his initial deal with Westside Discs to keep him with the company through 2023. He originally agreed to a 2-year deal through 2021 before last season.
The Westside move seems to have agreed with Locastro, as he is at his highest player rating in more than five years — 1031 — and won his first Elite Series event in almost a decade at the 2020 Preserve Championship.

Alexis Mandujano To Discraft, Touring In 2021
After announcing her departure from Innova last week, Alexis Mandujano has made her move to Discraft official. Along with the sponsor news, Mandujano will also be on the road for 2021.
“This has been something that I’ve looked forward to for many years and have worked hard for,” said Mandujano of her touring plans for the upcoming year. “I will be competing in about 20 to 25 tournaments. I cannot wait to see new places, meet new people, and play the sport I love.”

Adam Hammes Signs 1-Year Discraft Extension

“Discraft has shown me how players should be treated. Their professionalism is the best in the business,” said Hammes.
After a breakout 2019 season, Hammes cashed at each of his 16 tournaments in 2020, including two top five finishes at DGPT events, a 10th place showing at USDGC, and two wins. He joined Discraft for the 2019 season and is on the Elite Team, the company’s highest level of touring support.
