For the second consecutive week, Ricky Wysocki has fired off the hot round on a tournament’s second day of play.
And, just as with last week’s “Steady” Ed Memorial Masters Cup, Wysocki used that day-two hot streak to vault himself into second place at the tournament, a single stroke behind the leader heading into the final round.
Wysocki’s 12-under par 52 at the St. Jude Disc Golf Charity Invitational yesterday included an eagle on the 944-foot, Par 5 eighth hole to bring him to 11-under for the tournament. He currently trails Nate Doss (-12), whose 4-under par 60 was good enough to keep him atop the leaderboard. At third place, Jared Roan remains very much in contention at 10-under for the weekend, especially considering he carded a double bogey on yesterday’s final hole. Nate Sexton sits in fourth place at 8-under par.
Lead card action kicks off at 1:10 p.m. PDT today and can be tracked via the Professional Disc Golf Association’s live scoring website, or on Twitter via @PDGALive.
