When the round gets delayed for lightning the phones come out

The opening round at the Idlewild Open Friday was delayed multiple times due to a severe thunderstorm with sustained lightning, strong winds, and rain. Ultimately, round one was suspended around 6:40 p.m. just as the final Open card completed hole one. All those delays meant players and media at the event had plenty of time to take in the oncoming severe weather.
