Leiviska and Sexton's streaks extend over a decade
November 29, 2018 by Bennett Wineka in Livewire, News with 0 comments
Airborn Disc Golf Emporium, Cale Leiviska’s dry goods supplier, recently posted a list of the longest active cashing streaks by Open players at PDGA events.1
Leiviska himself leads the top 10 in consecutive events in which he’s taken home a check, and there are some surprise omissions as well.
MPO Cashing Streaks - November 2018
Place | Player | Event Streak |
---|---|---|
1 | Cale Leiviska | 238 |
2 | Nate Sexton | 226 |
3 | Joe Rovere | 136 |
4 | Brad Schick | 133 |
5 | Calvin Heimburg | 118 |
6 | Chris Dickerson | 115 |
7 | KJ Nybo | 107 |
8 | Craig Cutler | 100 |
9 | Ricky Wysocki | 98 |
10 | Seppo Paju | 88 |
To give some extra context to the sustained level of success it takes to reach these streaks, only the top 35 percent or so of competitors should expect payout at an event.
We have also updated this list from the original post to include any event from November 2-29, 2018.
Notes:
- Nate Sexton joins Leiviska in having his cashing streak extend over a decade.
- Calvin Heimburg has never missed cash playing in the Open division.
- Chris Dickerson is a player who is probably helped by playing a couple tournaments in a weekend.
DNFs count as missed cash. ↩
