Ricky Wysocki Withdraws From Idlewild With Neck Injury

Ricky Wysocki Withdraws Idlewild Open Johnny Discgolf Interview

Ricky Wysocki withdrew from the Idlewild Open before the start of round two after picking up a neck injury on Friday. Wysocki said his neck felt two to three times worse on Saturday morning causing him to DNF.

“I tweaked my neck right before the round…in the practice field and it gradually got worse throughout the round,” Wysocki told Cory Murrell, aka Johnny Discgolf. “I honestly didn’t know if I was going to finish the round.

“My timing was off, I couldn’t rotate my body, my swing was completely off because of my neck. I couldn’t throw any of the shots I wanted to.”

This was Wysocki’s first time playing the Idlewild Open, but said he was more concerned with worsening the injury and not being prepared for Pro Worlds next month.
