Gyro Jerm!

Jeremy “Big Jerm” Koling is officially one of the big surprises of the sponsorship offseason as he signed a four-year deal with MVP Disc Sports, the company announced today.
Koling spent the previous eight years sponsored by Innova as his commentary career exploded alongside the growth of Jomez Pro. He joined Innova just three months after winning the USDGC, his only Major win, before taking down the Waco Annual Charity Open on the DGPT in 2018, the fourth Elite Series win of his career.
While Koling’s finishes at tour events have faded further from the top 10, he remains one of the most popular players on tour and has outsized influence as the play-by-play lead commentator for Jomez, now owned and operated by the DGPT.
MVP adding Koling makes sense: it gets them a prominent MPO face in the media, which is dominated by Discraft- and Innova-sponsored pros at the moment, to pair with Madison Walker, who also commentates on Jomez. The MVP press release called Koling the “voice of disc golf.”
“Jeremy is one of the faces of the sport and has really grown alongside it over the course of his career,” wrote MVP. “We think that growth isn’t slowing down any time soon, and we see Jeremy as a pillar of the sport moving forward who can continue to help it grow and reach new audiences.”
MVP now sponsors 6 (Simon Lizotte, Silva Saarinen, Eagle McMahon, Jeremy Koling, James Conrad, and Madison Walker) of the top 20 most popular disc golfers according to the 2024 Fandom Survey. That brings them ahead of Innova (5), Discraft (4), and House of Discs (4).
