2017 Shot Of The Year Presented By Friction Gloves: Simon Lizotte

The German pro's Glass Blown Open eagle ran away with the competition

Ultiworld Disc Golf’s 2017 Shot of the Year voting is presented by Friction Gloves; all opinions are those of the author. Check out our review of Friction’s DG Gloves here.

At this point, we’ve run out of words to describe Simon Lizotte’s 700-foot shot at Jones East Park during the 2017 Glass Blown Open. Superlatives like “massive,” “jaw-dropping,” and “incredible” are hardly sufficient, so we’ll just hit you with facts: Lizotte cruised to the Shot of the Year title with more than 60 percent of the vote. From start to finish in our bracket challenge, the feat garnered a total of 12,292 votes.

Also, it was jaw-dropping.

Sorry, we couldn’t resist.

So here, one last time, is the 2017 Shot of the Year: Simon Lizotte’s massive, incredible tap-in eagle during round two of the GBO. Enjoy.
