Holes measuring 1,005 and 731 feet were no match for the man called Sockibomb yesterday at the Silver Cup, as Ricky Wysocki laid waste to Rollin’ Ridge by carding eagles on a combined four frames to scrawl a 13-under par 56 on the scorecard and take a four throw lead heading into today’s final.
Now sitting at 32-under on the weekend, Wysocki will be joined on today’s lead card by Allen Hermosillo (-28), Matt Dollar (-28), and Alex Geisinger (-27). The chase card should also provide some liveliness, as four players – including Nate Doss and Nikko Locastro – enter the final tied for fifth place at 24-under par.
Valarie Jenkins carded a 3-over par 68, bringing her weekend total to a 3-under par 174 and extending her lead over Sarah Hokom, who takes a 1-under par 176 into today. Holly Finley (+2) and Lisa Fajkus (+4) will make up the rest of the Open Women’s lead card, with action kicking off at 8:30 a.m Central.
The Open Men’s tilt, meanwhile, takes center stage at 11 a.m. Central and will be livestreamed on the Disc Golf Pro Tour’s YouTube channel.
