"I just kind of wanted to give back," world champion says

Ricky Wysocki is giving back.
The current PDGA World Champion announced over the weekend that he is accepting applications for “Team Sockibomb,” which will find him sponsoring a male and female player for the upcoming season. After he chooses the players based on their video submissions, Wysocki said the players will receive apparel, discs, tournament entry fees, and one-on-one coaching from the man himself.
“I don’t want to be selfish and just help grow my brand,” Wysocki said. “I want to also help grow someone else and see if they can create an opportunity to make a career out of disc golf like I have.”
