Teen Throws More Than 600 Feet To Set New Distance Record For Age Group

Carter Ahrens Disc Golf Distance Record

What better use of a global shutdown than to get out in a field and set some records.

Carter Ahrens is the reigning MJ12 PDGA Long Drive World Champion, and decided he’d be going after David Wiggins, Jr.’s Under 13 world distance record from 2008. On a windy day in Washington state this month, Carter bested Wiggins by almost 50 feet to set a new mark at 624′-11″.

Dion Arlyn, the 2010 WFDF World Long Distance Champion, helped Carter with his technique.
