Legacy Discs is losing its top-rated women’s player and most visible touring pro, as Sarah Hokom announced she’d be parting ways with the manufacturer for 2019.
“As I look into the future, I have to contemplate the best move for me professionally,” Hokom said in the statement. “At this time, after much deliberation, I’ve decided to move on to a different disc manufacturer. I sincerely appreciate everything that Legacy has done for me over the years and I certainly wouldn’t have experienced the amount of success that I have without their help.”
Hokom is coming off a year where she finished first in both the Disc Golf Pro Tour regular season standings and tournament championship. She added a PDGA National Tour win at the Delaware Challenge. Hokom is currently at her highest rating since September 2012.
