Injury Forcing Lizotte To Skip Worlds

German sensation still nursing knee ailment suffered during clinic demonstration

Simon Lizotte will miss the PDGA Professional Disc Golf World Championships as he continues to rehabilitate from a partially torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, he confirmed to Ultiworld Disc Golf on Thursday.

The German star suffered the injury during a demonstration at an instructional clinic earlier this month in Finland. He initially held out hope he could make it to Worlds, and said he in now eyeing the United States Disc Golf Championships in October for his return to play.

Pro Worlds begin Tuesday, August 9 in Emporia, Kansas.
