Eagle McMahon Withdraws From Ledgestone Open
Eagle McMahon withdrew from the Ledgestone Insurance Open with a right shoulder injury on the tee of hole 16 during round one.
“It kinda started yesterday. There were some slight indications of a little bit of a shoulder impingement,” McMahon told Terry Miller during the livestream. “I was kinda battling this earlier this year, but Disc Golf Strong was able to bring it back and make it feel a lot better. But I threw a big forehand yesterday and it started acting up there. I didn’t really get that much time to warm-up because of the weather delay. As the round progressed it just slowly came on.
“It never got too bad, but it’s just there, and I know it’s not going to get better if I keep throwing.”
McMahon referenced his upcoming trip to Europe as an extra incentive to rest the shoulder. This is McMahon’s second DNF of his career, the first coming at the 2016 Wintertime Open.
