Allen’s Winning Streak Comes To An End At Tali Open

15-year-old Eveliina Salonen takes home two-shot EuroTour win

Catrina Allen’s run of 11 consecutive Women’s Open victories came to an end yesterday in Helsinki, Finland, as she took second place in the EuroTour’s Tali Open with a 14-over par 224 for the weekend.

Fifteen-year-old Eveliina Salonen of Valkeakoski, Finland, had the honor of unseating Allen with a 12-over par 222 at the A-tier tournament. Allen actually took a lead into the last few holes before carding a 10 on the Tali DiscGolfPark’s 20th hole, a 672-foot Par 4 featuring an island green.

Allen was using the event to tune up for this week’s European Open, the third stop on the Disc Golf World Tour, in Nokia, Finland.
