For the first time since 2001, disc golf will be on the program at the World Games, a multi-sport competition held every four years for non-Olympic sports.
The competition starts on August 8th in Chengdu, China, at a newly installed temporary course at the Guixi Ecological Park and will feature three days of competition. Coverage begins at 8:30 PM ET tonight on The World Games Live.
How do I watch disc golf at the World Games?
You can tune in to disc golf at the World Games on their livestreaming platform. There are also mobile apps (iOS / Android) available to download. The full event streaming schedule is available here.
What is the format for the event?
The event is being played in a team format with a male and female player representing the 16 qualifying countries.
The format is uncommon: alternating shot match play doubles with three pool play matches, followed by an eight team bracket to decide a champion. Each team will play six rounds in three days: three 12-hole rounds1 on day one for the initial pool play, two rounds on day two (quarters/semis for those in the top 2 in their pool), and medal matches and consolation rounds on day three.

Is the World Games disc golf coverage free?
Yes, all the coverage is available for free, though select countries may have local rights-holders airing the World Games and requiring paid access.
