How To Watch The 2021 Delaware Disc Golf Challenge

Coverage schedules for the PDGA National Tour event

After a busy month of back-to-back-to-back-to-back Disc Golf Pro Tour events, the PDGA National Tour returns for the fourth of five stops this season. Delaware is usually good for some final round drama so be sure to have your Sunday clear.

Over the offseason, the PDGA signed a deal to livestream NTs, PDGA Pro Worlds, and the US Women’s Disc Golf Championship on the Disc Golf Network.

Can I watch the Delaware Disc Golf Challenge in person?

The DDGC, as well as the remaining PDGA Elite Series events for 2021, will be operating in Phase 3 of the COVID-19 Requirements and Best Practices for PDGA Elite Series Events.

Spectator passes do not need to be purchased to attend the DDGC but course director Jimi McIlvain has advice for fans:

A few things spectators should prepare for. Parking is limited. Carpool. Iron Hill is not a Country Club. The walk is long and grueling, up and down elevation, over rocks and down trees. It is entirely in the woods and you will encounter briers, bees and poison ivy. An NT round is not your Saturday morning round. It will last 4.5 to 5 hours. Once the round you’re watching begins there will be limited chances to get back to the parking lot without walking around the entire park. The course is entirely in the woods. This will limit your ability to see the action. We are doing the best we can to allow as many people to see and try to keep them clear of the players. Let me once again bring up BEES. Yellow Jackets, wasp and all types of bees are very aggressive this time of year. We are about to put over 100 competitors out on the course for multiple days of practice and 3 days of competition. Add in hundreds of spectators and some one is going to get stung. If you are allergic or have small children you may want to consider this. If you’re rethinking you trip, Disc Golf Network will be broadcasting live and all the major post production crews will be there. For all of those I haven’t scared off, I hope you have a blast this weekend. Please remember to give the players and the staff their space.
