Putting a bow on the 2018 pro season, the 2018 Disc Golf Pro Tour Championship at New World Disc Golf in Jacksonville, Florida gave us more action than we could consume.
The Disc Golf Pro Tour provided its own footage, putting out six hours of live footage each day, as well as postproduced next day rounds with the help of Par Save Productions.
Drives
Simon Lizotte knew how to make the drama early in the weekend by going for eagle on 17.
There aren’t a lot of woods at New World, but when there are, they have some tight lines.
Chris Dickerson’s roller here is a thing of beauty.
Not many birdies to be had on hole 5 for the women, but here’s one.
Hole 1 is not this easy either.
The quintessential Nikko Locastro forceover shot.
Drew Gibson took the longest route to the pin but ended up the closest.
WHERE IS EAGLE MCMAHON GOING ON HOLE 9?!?!
Approaches
This was McMahon’s approach off that insanity on hole 9. He’d connect for eagle.
And this could have been an albatross for Garrett Gurthie.
The green on hole 6 can be tricky, not that it looks like it here.
Never question Sarah Hokom’s backhand.
Catrina Allen was dialed on her par 4 and par 5 approaches all weekend.
Knowing Simon Lizotte, he was trying to throw this in.
Putts
He’ll wish this was for the win, but knocking this down on the 18th has to feel good for Locastro.
Anthony Barela as effortless from 70 feet as can be.
Gregg Barsby knows that game too.
Not to mention Madison Walker.
Gurthie and Paul McBeth aren’t so much effortless as they are casual here.
Hole 6 saw a lot of great distance putts, especially from the women.
So did hole 9.
Plenty of opportunity for jump putts at New World.
Here’s Ricky doing some Ricky things.
Running out of descriptors.
