UPDATE: Sexton’s Texas States Ace Hits ESPN’s SportsCenter

It had been a few weeks since a high quality tournament ace was captured on film. Luckily, Nate Sexton and Jomez Productions have us covered.

Check out Sexton’s shot on hole 9 of the first round of the Texas States Championships yesterday at Evergreen Disc Golf Course in Baytown, Texas:

That was a signature Sexton Firebird on the 225-footer. After round one, Sexton is tied for third place with a 10-under par 50 total. And while we don’t want to take any credit for the shot, Sexton did appear on our podcast, The Upshot, this week. Just sayin’.

UPDATE: Sexton’s ace landed on the SportsCenter Top 10 last night, coming in at number 6. For the first week of baseball season, and during the Masters, that’s pretty impressive.
