Charlotte, NC pro Austin Turner, competing in his first United States Disc Golf Championship, canned a remarkable ace today during his second round. His Discraft Buzzz took a fortuitous bounce off the bamboo “clown’s mouth” triple-mando on the famed 284-foot hole 7:
It’s the first ace at this year’s USDGC and the video highlight of the esteemed event thus far. If anyone manages to ace hole 3 out at Winthrop Gold, they’re in line for $1,000 from competitor Jason Tyra. Too bad for Turner that he was four holes too late to cash in, but he’s got a lasting USDGC memory now.
