The only European player to ever win the US Women’s Disc Golf Championships, Kristin Tattar will not have an opportunity to chase her second US title this weekend in Madison, Wisconsin.
Tattar, the highest-rated FPO player in the world, had planned to return to the United States last week in time to defend her title at The Preserve Championship, but she canceled her trip after her partner, Silver Lätt, contracted COVID-19.
In a subsequent “Ask Me Anything” on Reddit’s disc golf subreddit, Tattar confirmed that she won’t be back in the United States until August, when she will compete stateside for the rest of the 2022 season. Tattar is registered for the third FPO major of the season, the European Open, in mid-July, and is expected to return to DGPT action for the Ledgestone Insurance Open in early August.
Tattar has not missed the podium at any Elite Series events or Majors this season, has two wins, and has an average finishing position of 1.83, an FPO-best.
