Forbes published an article this morning about new ideas driving California’s burgeoning Paso Robles wine country. One of the “trend-setting innovations?” Disc golf.

The Whale Rock Disc Golf Course at Castoro Cellars in the brain child of Luke and Max Udsen, sons of winery founders Niels and Bimmer Udsen. For them it was completely natural: they’re avid disc golfers, having learned the game in college and played it seriously for several years, and the family’s vineyard seemed like the perfect space to continue their passion and, in the meantime, layer a fun, outdoors, youthful, active experience onto the typical winery visit.
