After a remarkable two-year stretch of disc golf — five Major wins, including a season sweep in 2023; 13 Disc Golf Pro Tour wins; and a launch into Estonian stardom — Kristin Tattar has reached a milestone long imagined but never before realized: a 1000 PDGA rating.

In the May 14th ratings update, Tattar became the first female player ever to eclipse the 1000 rating mark, long a standard of excellence for male players. She crossed the 990 mark one year ago in the May 2023 update and became the highest-rated female player of all time in September, when she reached a 999 rating, surpassing Paige Pierce’s record of 996.

“Kristin continues to push the limits and in doing so she is both clearing a path for those who dream of following her as well as pushing the imaginations of players as they set their own goals,” said five-time world champion and Disc Golf Hall of Famer Juliana Korver. “Though it is but a single point advancement for KT, it is a monumental accomplishment for the division. Kristin is the embodiment of ‘1000 rated’ and can now quantifiably back up the heartfelt sentiment.”

Tattar already has three wins on tour in 2024, two second place finishes, and only one finish outside the top five (6th at the US Women’s Disc Golf Championship).
