Through the quarter- and semifinal rounds on Friday and Saturday, the Open Women’s field stayed close, setting up what should be a close final round on Sunday.
- Hailey King played her first golf of the event in the semifinals Saturday and even though her putter wasn’t on, looked sharp with an even par day to stamp her spot in the final round. She led the division in finding Circle 2 in regulation, and was top three in the other major driving statistics. In 2019, King advanced out of the quarterfinals at Hornets Nest before falling in the semis.
- In the quarterfinals Friday, Jessica Weese had the low round of the event so far with a 2-under par, but missed the cut on Saturday to end her chances at $20,000. Of the four to advance from the quarters — Weese, Holly Finley, Missy Gannon, Lisa Fajkus — only Fajkus moved on another day.
- Catrina Allen and Paige Pierce, who got byes to the semis, tied Fajkus to advance to the finals with 2-over par days. Last year’s champ, Allen, and Pierce had similar rounds with double-bogeys over the front half of the course before grabbing a couple birdies after the turn.
- Sarah Hokom was the only player to receive a bye to not advance. She had a chance to edge Fajkus via tiebreaker but missed an inside the circle look on hole 18’s elevated basket to card a par. She finished at 3-over par.
