Ten of our favorites you might have missed last month

Disc golf, professional and otherwise, is getting bigger all the time and that means it’s busier than ever. It can be hard to keep up with everything. That’s where our Monthly Dime comes in, where we find and review 10 of the best and sometimes random disc golf related things that caught our attention each month. While we won’t pretend to be able to provide a comprehensive accounting of everything that has happened, we’ll do our best to keep this both informative and fun.
1. We give you, the greatest disc golf video since “Stiletto.” Some backstory: a group of friends travels for a disc golf weekend each year, and one member of the crew decided to take a clip of a buddy falling off a tee pad and create a hype video of sorts.
2. Disc golfer Will Haenni, who moonlights as a meteorologist on KCRG 13 in Missouri, put together a special weather report before last week’s Mid America Open in Columbia.

3. Nice to see another YouTube channel producing content, especially when it’s focused on the women’s game. Empowered Disc Golf is beginning to put out “In the Bags,” as well as tournament compilations.

4. Who put the invisible wall on the fairway?

5. For when you can see your favorite disc but just can’t quite reach it.
6. Simon Lizotte got all the attention for his trick shots this month, but he wasn’t the only one out there doing their thing. Paul McBeth had some fun in the Innova Factory Store, Jeremy Koling putted out during a Final 9 in style, Simon reappeared and KJ Nybo may be enjoying himself the most.
7. It’s not tripping over a tee box, but Christine Jennings also made a walk-off music video of sorts.

8. A lot of people think Pound Disc Golf already has the best disc golf bags on the market, so it’s been interesting to see the design process of a new bag play out in front of us.

9. A good month for growing the sport. A regional magazine put disc golf on its cover and Infinite Discs released the results from its annual survey surrounding growth of disc golf.

10. Do you love your discs as much as this guy loves Westside?
