Maple Hill has a tendency to generate plenty of picturesque moments. It also has a history of generating some eye-popping aces, including over water, like this one from 2016 where Nikko Locastro hits the roughly 300-foot water carry and nails the chains some 20 feet later.
Hole 8 was at it again this year, bringing us more visual enjoyment. Trevor Harbolt cleared the pond with a wide hyzer and smashed some chains of his own:
Harbolt had managed only pars through his first seven holes today, so an ace is quite the way to get on the birdie-or-better train. The Disc Golf Pro Tour edited in footage of Harbolt just missing out on an ace last weekend at the Ledgestone Insurance Open, on a similar hole and shot over the water.
