McBeth, Weese Land On-Camera Aces During Idlewild Practice Rounds

Disc Golf Pro Tour’s seventh event kicks off Thursday

UPDATE: McBeth did it again today, on the same hole. See below for the new video from Jomez Productions.

Are you ready for the Idlewild Open this week? Maybe, you say. How about two aces on the same hole to get the juices flowing?

Yesterday, Paul McBeth made like Babe Ruth, calling his shot during a warm-up round before canning the 192-foot 11th with his Roc3:

McBeth Idlewild Ace

McBeth was predictably chill about the whole deal, unlike yesterday’s Ace Dad that made the rounds on mainstream sports outlets.

The Disc Golf Pro Tour did some work on the Idlewild course overnight, and hole 9’s basket got a raise. Which means that this morning, when Jessica Weese was busy practicing, her ace on the same hole was a good deal higher than McBeth’s:

Weese Idlewild Ace

It wasn’t just the basket that was higher either, as Weese’s reaction was much more Ace Dad-like.

And since McBeth couldn’t be one-upped, he went and did it again today:

If this is any indication, the Idlewild Open could turn out to be a highlight fest. Bring on the #SCTop10.

An earlier version of this article had the incorrect hole number and length. We regret the error.
