Cox Moves To Latitude 64

Sponsorship change comes after successful first year of touring

Rebecca Cox will join Team Latitude 64 for the 2018 season, she announced on social media yesterday. The 21-year-old pro spent the 2017 season with Discraft, The Nati Disc Golf, and Ricky Wysocki’s Sockibomb label as one of two athletes sponsored by the two-time PDGA World Champion.

Cox, a Cincinnati, Ohio-area native, found success in 2017, which was her first full season of touring after taking the prior three years off from competitive play. She finished inside the top 10 in each of her last five events from July through October, including a third place finish at the Brent Hambrick Memorial Open; fifth place at the Idlewild Open; and eighth place at the United States Women’s Disc Golf Championship. She ranked seventh in the Disc Golf Pro Tour’s Open Women’s field with a 61 percent fairway hit rate, according to UDisc Live, and improved her PDGA player rating 24 points through the update in early November.

Cox is set to tour extensively in 2018, starting with the Las Vegas Challenge in February.
